Joe Rand grew up in the suburbs of Manhattan, went to DC for college and law school, and then finally made it to Manhattan. Then he bought an apartment, met his wife, made some friends, and had a few cocktails. Now, after 17 years on the upper west side, he’s moving back to the suburbs of his youth. This is his story.

What’s SUMA? The SUburbs of MAnhattan. You know, just like Tribeca and Soho and Nolita and all those other interesting Manhattan neighborhoods. At least that’s what I’m telling myself.
